Piles can develop either inside the anus or outside of the anus when the inflammation weakens the muscles of the anal walls it causes the tissue to sag and bulge from there. It can hit anyone, there is no age and gender limit to affect by piles but it is observed in people aged 40 plus.

Obesity:
We all know overweight is a cause for many diseases, excess weight tends to put pressure on the muscles of your anal walls, causing nerves to protrude out of the anal layering. Better to have an eye on our body weight.

Constipation or diarrhea:
No stool and excessive stool, both will cause painful piles when it becomes tougher to eject stool out of the anus, the nerves swell more and even breach at times, these tend to bleed when the condition worsens along with sensitivity and pain, keeping eye on diet can relieve pain and excessive dowel passing can strain muscles at anus.

Sitting and standing for a long period:
We all believe that excess of everything is not good, If we sit for hours at the same place it puts pressure on your buttocks, hence risks of developing piles and also increases as well as standing for a long time pushes blood down to the lower portion of the body causing swollen veins and arteries, so inflamed piles or haemorrhoids.

Straining overly during the bowel movement:
When we strain during dowel movement, it drives the blood into rectal veins and arteries which cause swollen veins that push against the anal walls, causing weak anal muscles, once the muscles get weaker, they start jab out of the walls.

Diet:
Lack of healthy diet means low fiber intake causes and strain during the bowel movement, constipation.

Pregnancy will bring higher weight and the fetus also put stress over the rectal veins which lead hemorrhoids, there are others factors like, heredity, lack of physical activity and change in eating habits, spicy food and junk food, higher quantities of meat, lower fluid intake, lead to constipation which leads to piles.
